Vodafone Spain complaint - total joke
VODAFONE SPAIN ALL I WANT TO DO IS PAY YOU WHATS OWED
Thinking of signing up with Vodafone Spain - Think again - Share this to warn people how ridiculous the customer service system is. This story has taken me hours of time and effort
This week I was informed by text from Vodafone that there was a months payment unpaid from 2 months ago not sure how that happened as there were funds there and they had collected the next 2 months payments.
Their texts are usually marketing spam by the time I glanced at the text 2 days it was too late they had suspended my account
TRY TO PAY ONLINE
No problem I would just sign into my customer page online and pay the debt. So signing into my client area a notice came up saying access was restricted as account was SUSPENDED
Well it only let me see the last 12 months bills and there was no means to make a payment.
TRY TO PAY BY PHONE
So now I try and pay over the phone using the customer services numbers there are several
Tried 22123 22122 and 607 12 30 00
Each time you are asked to enter your Passport or NIE or the phone number. Each time you enter any of these you are told your account is suspended and how much your debt is . It tells you quickest way to resolve this is to pay by card. YES I know that but if you cannot get through to anyone how can you pay.
So next idea is to ring the 607 12 30 00 number as a new customer. I am put through to an operator who asks me for nie passport. I give her this and she tells me I have a suspended account.
I explain that I know this and would like to pay. She tells me that I cannot pay over the phone at her department. I ask to be passed to a department where payment is possible. She says she cannot transfer my call. I insist that it must be possible to pass me to an operator to make a payment. She tells me to ring 607 12 30 00 . I explain that I did and it blocks me as soon as I enter my phone number and in any case I used that number and could only get through on new enquiry basis and thats how I am speaking to her. I insist once again she passes my call so I can pay. SHE RINGS ME OFF
TRY TO PAY AT BANK
I travel to my bank and ask them to pay my vodafone payment. Yes we can do that but you need a barcode invoice. My account is paperless but as I can see my monthly bills online I return home and login - still shows suspended but at least it let me print off a bill. I return to the bank and ask them to pay. They scan the barcode but they tell me account is suspended and therefore barcode is not being accepted.
TRY PAY AT ATM CASH MACHINE
Maybe bank got it wrong. I will try and use the bill scanning facility on the ATM machine. I try several times it tells me this payment cannot be made via the barcode .
TRY TO PAY AT POSTOFFICE
I listen to the vodafone message carefully they mention you can pay at the postoffice. OK its a bit of a journey but I head off to pay. I arrive and tell them I want to pay my vodafone bill. They dont need my paper bill as they pop my Nie into their computer and she tells me I owe 233,10€
Great finally getting somewhere. I pass her my credit card and she shakes her head CASH ONLY
she tells me. So I am off to the bank again to collect cash.
I return to the post-office and pay and they give me a receipt tell me its instant.
36 HOURS LATER
Still no phones reconnected. Still cannot call anyone for the same reasons as previous phone calls above.
Incredibly the mobile phone Account remains suspended and no way of speaking to anyone.
